Short version for the impatient: Fuck the Republicans.
Long version:
Election season is starting. Rallies, pandering to constituents, more rallies, and talking points are slowly starting to fill more and more of the public sphere. As a side note, I hate that the "public sphere" is even a thing. Regardless, the 2012 Presidential election is starting to gain momentum as a topic of interest in the media, and Washington knows it.
Apparently this weekend is the second anniversary of the Tea Party, and Republicans are capitalizing on the occasion to muster some early political support. Naturally, the rallies have been in the media. Which means that information about what these fuckers said has made it into my eyeballs, and subsequently, my brain. With that said, let me offer you this maxim: fuck all things. Let's look at some quotes by these fuckers.
Romney actually pisses me off the least out of all of these people. He's more conservative economically than socially, and while I may not agree with him on his policies, at least he's not as bat shit crazy as the other Republican hopefuls. Here is a thing that came out of his mouth:
"This is the time when the American people recognize that the government is taking too big a bite and what we really need to do is allow individuals in the private sector to grow and thrive so we can get people to work and folks can plan for a bright and prosperous future."Okay well that's just some general Republican economic bullshit. Cool. I can handle that. But then fucking Tim Pawlenty had to open his goddamn mouth:
"Thank you for being modern-day Paul Reveres, sounding the alarm and being the patriots who are going to lead the effort to take back our country."So this basically means nothing. In case you didn't know, Paul Revere was the guy who rode a horse calling out "The British are coming." Apparently, he helped set up an intelligence system that monitored British military movements during the Revolutionary war. He may, or may not, have been present during the Boston Tea Party. How the fuck the modern Tea Baggers are "modern-day Paul Reveres" is beyond me. Maybe because they consider themselves associated with the Boston Tea Party (which they really shouldn't). I'm assuming that what Pawlenty means by "take back our country" is to take it back from the Democrats. Interestingly, the last time we had a Democratic president (Clinton), we had a budget surplus. Regardless, here's some modern-day Tea Baggers in action:

I hate Rick Santorum more than I hate Donald Trump, but I think I hate that Trump is running more than I hate that Santorum is. Here's the issue: Donald Trump is a decent businessman. He's made a lot of money with his hotels and bottled water and whatever else he's fucking marketed. The problem is that government is already too intertwined with business. We don't need another corporate interest douchebag in office. The fact that he actually has support and is thinking about running without being laughed off the podium is what concerns me. What in the fuck are people thinking?
Beyond Trump though is Rick Santorum. I hate this man. Here's some quotes that explain why I hate him:
Not sure WTF is up with the border above. No time to fix it ATM.
